England’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Improvement Plan

The UK Government’s Improvement Plan on the future shape of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and alternative provision (AP) in England was published on 2 March 2023. The Plan follows a Green Paper consultation launched a year earlier. This briefing looks in detail at the proposals and what the Government is trying to achieve.
