Our policy impact
LGIU research plays an influential role in the development of local and national policies and ensures local government has a seat at the table to shape policy decisions that affect the sector.
Funding systems
Our international finance research has been cited and used by the National Audit Office, the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee, and the Accounts Commission in Scotland. We have also directly contributed to government policy discussions on the Fair Funding Review and provided evidence for national government committees.
Local Government Reorganisation
Our work in the space of LGR and devolution has helped many across the sector to analyse the proposed changes, and has featured in several of the proposals. We are a trusted partner to many councils that are undergoing this substantial change.
