Establishing a planning partnership
The Western Sydney Planning Partnership (WSPP) was established as a commitment of the Western Sydney City Deal, which was signed on 4th March 2018, as:
“…the catalyst for a collaborative approach across three tiers of government to realise the vision of the Western Parkland City to create world-class jobs and a great quality of life”.
The WSPP was established under a Heads of Agreement between the nine local governments of Western Sydney (the eight local governments subject to the City Deal, and Blacktown City Council), the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment, Transport for NSW, Greater Sydney Commission, and Sydney Water, with an initial term of three years.
